One day classes
We offer one-time wheel and handbuilding classes for anyone who wants to give playing with clay a try! This will be an open and safe environment to play with clay for 2 hours with a skilled instructor. Bring a friend or come on your own, all are welcome regardless of skill level. You will be able to keep your unique creations that will be ready for pickup in ~2-3 weeks time after the class is done.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your class, please email us in order to receive a refund, it does not process automatically.
Please inform us at least 24 hours prior to your class’ start date of cancellation for full refund/credit. We cannot provide refunds for cancellations the day of, and there will be a 50% rescheduling fee.

Taiken class-体験クラス一名
Not sure if you have what it takes to make pottery, or just curious to see what it is like? Try our 2 hours hand building Taiken course! Includes an introduction to basic Japanese pottery techniques and the creation of a hand built cup and plate. If you would like to make a private team event appointment (max 8 people), please email nytogei@gmail.com us and let us know what day and time works best for you, and we will schedule you in.
2 hour class, clay is included, firing and glazing of your pieces takes 2-3 weeks. $75 per person. Currently bookings can only be done individually at a time.

one day wheel class for two
Are you interested in learning the Japanese style of throwing off the hump, or have you worked on the wheel and need a refresher course?
As with all our classes, we meet the student where they are and help them get to where they want to be. When signing up for this class, please let us know what your previous experience is (if any).
2 hour class, clay, and glazing of up to three pieces is included. Trimming, firing and glazing of your pieces takes 2-3 weeks. $150 per person, 2 person minimum, 4 person maximum. Currently bookings can only be done individually at a time.
